Blackstone Completes $30.4 Billion Drawdown Fund

Blackstone has successfully concluded the final close of its real estate drawdown fund, amassing a total of $30.4 billion. This achievement marks the largest amount ever raised for such a fund in the real estate industry.

Blackstone (BX) has reported the successful conclusion of its most recent global real estate fund, Blackstone Real Estate Partners X (BREP X). BREP X has successfully secured a total of $30.4 billion in capital commitments, making it the largest drawdown fund ever raised in the real estate or private equity sector. The aggregate capital commitments for Blackstone's three opportunistic strategies, namely Global, Asia, and Europe, amount to $50 billion.

Over a period of more than three decades, Blackstone has successfully generated a net internal rate of return (IRR) of 16% on a committed capital of over $100 billion in the BREP global funds.1 Blackstone Real Estate has strategically repositioned its portfolio in response to evolving macro trends. The company has divested assets that are facing challenges, such as traditional offices and malls, and has instead focused on sectors with promising growth potential.
