Adopting UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) proposals on AI ethics by member nations in November 2021 offers a basic worldwide accord on AI Ethics. Leading governments, R&D, business, industry, education, academia, non-profits, the United Nations, media, investments, and startups. Under the auspices of UNESCO, IRCAI (International Research Center on Artificial Intelligence) initiated an unprecedented campaign to identify the worldwide top 100 AI solutions supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). According to the UN Foundation, "businesses supporting the SDGs may expect a $12 trillion economic potential." Combining SDGs with AI can benefit humanity and people, governments, and companies. Furthermore, artificial intelligence (AI) can aid in the resolution of economic, social, and environmental (ESG) issues such as inequality, poverty, and climate change. AI assists the global community in achieving sustainable development goals, becoming increasingly essential in business as firms report on their ESG (environmental, social, and governance) and SDG-aligned operations.
The IRCAI, which has a global reach and breadth and is partially funded by the Republic of Slovenia, is dedicated only to Artificial Intelligence. IRCAI serves as a worldwide network of institutions and specialists and a clearinghouse for important global AI initiatives. It offers an open and transparent forum, AI research, AI talks, policy support to stakeholders worldwide, and AI action plans and research roadmaps. In the World Series Events on AI, IRCAI co-organizes events.
On December 17, 2021, the IRCAI website released the Global Top 100. IRCAI developed a campaign to highlight the world's top ten AI solutions. These include AI solutions from governments, businesses, non-profits, startups, and so on, making the top ten significant once again. It's the Accelerator's first cohort that IRCAI will establish in 2022.
